(b) where a group has already received an amount from another source, the Mark McQueen Foundation can offer the balance to 50% with onus on the group to raise the remaining 50% needed

(c) where a group has already received an amount from another source, the Mark McQueen    Foundation can offer 50% of the funding needed with onus on the group to raise the remaining money

iii. The ‘underwriting’ of a community or charity event or project which may produce its own funding, with the Foundation agreeing to meet any shortfall in funds.

Support

1. How do I become involved in the foundation?

There are many ways in which you can get involved with the Foundation; the Community Foundation is keen to work with volunteers wishing to undertake research around the foundations themes, by offering your time in providing expertise to the foundation, be it advertising, marketing skills, social media or by holding a fundraising event for the Foundation to raise vital funds to continue the valuable work carried out by the foundation.

2. How can I support the foundation?

You can support the Foundation by holding a fundraising event to raise funds, completing a challenge event in aid of the foundation or partnering with the Foundation by donating towards its work. The Mark McQueen Foundation via the Community Foundation will support you with sponsorship forms, fundraising packs and Gift Aid advice to maximise your funds raised. A Fundraising Pack is available to down-load.

3.  How can the foundation help me, my family, my community?

The Foundation can support groups and organisations that are targeting the issues mentioned above.  For example one of the groups the Foundation funded was able to provide on additional counselling sessions as a result of the funding.
